I just want to make a brief, unprofound, but important post today after a moment of conviction and self-reflection. Jesus’ commandment to love my neighbors means that while trying to love the unloved I cannot hate those who are being hateful. I can hate that they are being that way, and I can pray that their hatred is turned to love, but I cannot hate them. It’s an impossible task, apart from God, but through Jesus it is possible. May we all remember to love both our friends and enemies the same way that Christ loves us.
