I have, for the past several months, been in a phase of deconstruction. The walls of my personal faith have been torn down to the cornerstone and now I am in the process of rebuilding it. The sure thing is that Christ is the cornerstone of which my faith is being rebuilt. The unsure thing is what this path will look like. It is my hope, Lord willing, that I can use this platform to not only process my remodel, but help people who have been going through a similar phase. For those who have come across my blog before, and for those who find this for the first time, I have no idea how frequent these posts will be. Thank you, and God bless.

I wonder what the differences are between you deconstructing your faith and the Father cutting away what cannot or will not bear fruit that you may bear more fruit. Surely there are small differences and great similarities when the Spirit is leading. CS Lewis may say you took down some walls but the Father took the whole house down to the Cornerstone.

Bear with some more rambling thoughts…is it fair to say deconstruction at one level feels good because it is the vindication of the self (and often according to the ethos of the times) but pruning hurts at one level because it is the cutting away of parts of the self (and that according to the perfect Man)? Deconstruction allows you to become what you are but pruning changes who you are.
